After the baptism, our families and a few friends joined us for a celebratory party, for our Josh. The Wardlings all had a fun time playing with aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and new friends.
This is a Ward 1st...eating in the living room.
Clyde wanted to stir things up a bit and boy did he with his Obama t-shirt. Politics were THE topic of conversation for a long time.
Josh, G, and J were all enjoying the yummy cake and many snacks that were served.
With all the sugar and other foods that were eaten, the kids all had the extra energy, so auntie Maylee and her friend, Jared, went outside to play tennis with the children. This kept them busy for a while.
After the party guest thinned out, a few of the Wardlings took naps. The rest of us entertained children, who were too sugared up to sleep. Grammy and Papa brought birthday presents, so during the quiet time of sorts, I helped assemble some of the toys. Josh and I put together a wooded tonka truck with screws. We also built a wooded airplane. We colored and colored. We also went out in the front yard and planted some pansies, one of my favorite flowers, in my big pots. Mom was too kind in giving me a flat of pansies. Thank you Mom!
Yesterday was the perfect day for our Josh to get baptized. I hope that he made a ton of memorable memories!
