300k

Clyde and I went to the Italian festival downtown a few weeks ago. Clyde was smitten by the Ferrari.

all tuckered out

Saturday the boys had back to back soccer games. Their team only had enough players to play without any subs, so the boys played the entire time for both games. That wore wee man out. He came home, ate a bite and crashed. He slept from 5:30pm to 7am the next morning. He was so adorable on the couch sleeping and snoring.

the avett show

Clyde bought us tickets to see the Avett Brothers in the Emerald City. I really enjoyed seeing them live. Thank you honey!! I loved it!

The brothers ended the night with this gem:

This one is just for giggles. It reminded me of the muppet show hippie band playing.

i'm back

This week is my first week back at the costume shop. One can imagine Halloween being super busy at a costume shop. Not only does Mrs. D have seasonal costumes to rent, but there are still shows that need costumes made or altered. The below project has been mine the last few days. There is a show that needed a Cinderella costume and my job was to make it. It is always fascinating to see the before and after when I sew.  Before it is simply folded fabric, but the after turns out like this:

Jacob is baptized

This past Saturday, our Jacob was baptized. It has been 3 years since the last family baptism and it was wonderful to have him want to be baptized.

We had family and friends there to support him. It was an awesome day!!

Josh is 11

Josh is now 11. He is the last of the Wardlings to celebrate birthdays this year. It was also picture day. I do not usually buy pictures from the school. He felt so good in his new shirt, from Grammy and Papa, that he wanted me to take his picture before school.
As usual, we let them choose where they want to eat for dinner. GC isn't my favorite place to eat, but that's what Josh wanted...
And he was thrilled! Josh is such a cool kid. He is super intelligent, reading on a 9th grade reading level! He is tender and kind. He loves to play soccer and is a super fast runner. We are overjoyed to have Josh be a member in our family! Happy Birthday Buddy!

pst...the color behind Josh's head, in the top photo, is the color of the new red room...more to follow!
Thanks Cheryl!! :)

arrow of light

I am the Weblos Den Leader along with Kristina, for our ward. We had two fellas in our Weblos den, one being Josh and another young fella C. We worked really hard this year, even during the summer, to complete Weblos and to earn the Arrow of Light Award. Last Wednesday night the boys were given their award. It was a great moment!
