toothless josh

Last night, we had a major haircutting party. It started with Jacob. his hair was just so long that it was too hot on his head...so we buzzed him. Then Josh wanted a hair cut, so we buzzed his head. Penny then wanted her hair cut and cried for a long time, when we didn't buzz her head. We even ran the clippers, not on obviously, over her head and she still was mad! Then Libby wanted her hair cut and finally it was Erin's turn. They each got a summer haircut. Erin said originally that she wanted to let her hair grow for locks of love, but once the scissors came out and hair began to fall, she dumped the locks of love idea. Maybe this fall.
Last night after we put the Wardlings to bed, Josh comes downstairs and says that his front tooth is ready to come out. He and Jacob were goofing on their bed and Josh's mouth was hit, by his own knee...go figure. His mouth was bloody, so I had him lay down on my lap, to see his tooth. It took one little push, that tooth pop sound, and we were holding a front tooth. His other front tooth took some tugging to get out, even though it was dangling there. I was glad that this one was a simple pull. He was excited that the tooth fairy came this morning too. Sometimes the tooth fairy is a bit slow to visit our house. We tell the Wardlings that it is because she goes alphabetically house to house. :) Libby lost a tooth last Friday... a back molar. Her teeth seriously pop out. Her mouth is too small for her teeth, so when a new tooth appears, it causes so much pressure that it simply lifts the other one out. Weird. Anyway, the tooth fairy didn't leave her money until the next morning...see alphabetically.
