5th grade graduation

Where has the time gone?? Our 1st born was just 21 1/2" tall a few minutes ago and now she is graduation elementary school and moving up to Middle school. (deep breath...) The Wardlings school held a graduation yesterday morning. It was a long ceremony. In the words of my Mom, it was a production. There were 6 graduating 5th grade classes and each of the teachers had about 5-10 minutes worth of information or games to share. Erin's teacher Ms. Bahr was so sweet, as she couldn't hold back the emotion. I love when teachers are so invested in their students that they can't help it. We have had a few teachers not care as much, but when you get those that do, the school year is tremendously fantastic. This year was one of those years for all of the Wardlings!
During graduation the 5th graders sang, had recorder performances, and as I mentioned before teachers spoke and passed out diplomas. Then there was a slide show of the students and the big thrill was seeing their kindergarten pictures. We didn't begin attending the school in kindergarten, but were here for Erin's 2nd grade year. Those were the sweetest pictures of all the tiny kindergarteners of yesterday and then the big 5th graders of today. Way sweet!
