As a tradition for just about evey gift giving holiday, the Wardlings pick out a new flash light for Clyde. He has a sweet collection.
This year Clyde said that he wanted this pocket knife. We snuck it into our buggy and hid it well. Clyde was happy to get his knife.
Jacob wanted to hold the knife and within 2 minutes of holding it, he had already cut his finger. We figured that this was a good lesson in knife handling. We do not typically let our 4 year old hold knives, but since we were right there, we thought that he'd be fine...obviously not.
