'votes for women'

My Mom sent an email to me yesterday with these pictures attached. This is why I vote. I vote even if I do not agree with either party or their candidates. I vote because so many fought, for years, to give me the right to voice my opinion. The right that they didn't have. NJ women had their right to vote revoked after 6 years, which they had to fight to regain.
When I saw this picture I was reminded a song from "Mary Poppins." The mother of Jane and Michael comes home from being @ a sufferage meeting and begins singing 'Votes for Women!,' as Katie-nana leaves their house. A line says, "she's been clapped in irons again. No more the weak and sub-servant we..."
Votes for Women!
