We lost another baby bird. Survival of the fittest for sure. Maybe it is just because the nest is too small. We noticed some ravens flying around...maybe they got one. Who knows...I still haven't checked for corpses on the ground. The babies have begun to chirp and their eyes have opened. Their feathers are beginning to come in.

sad! we have ducks and geese here (all the little goslings running around are SOO cute). We have noticed that some days there are one or two less than the day before. I just pretend it's a different family of geese when I see a family with 2 goslings instead of 6 or 8 like the day before;(
