the queen shopper

When we first got to the museum, we had a bit of a snack and then we went to play. On our way to the big airplane, we spotted a pal of ours from Asheboro Ward. Heidi and her daughter Autumn were there, as apart of the support group as well. It was nice to catch up with her. As I was catching up, I gave Erin and Libby the responsibility to keep an eye on their little sister. A few minutes later, I saw both Erin and Libby playing and no Penny. Talk about total freak out. We found her a few feet away pushing a shopping cart. She found the supermarket and was in heaven.

She loved pushing this little cart! I think it is worth the drive across town to Lowe's supermarket so that she could push one of these in a real shop. Ankles beware!!
Libby threw on an apron and checked Penny out.
Peaches or apples??
This is right before we left. I told Clyde that he just had to see her in the supermarket. We split up, so that the girls could do their thing and the boys could do theirs. This was a way fun night! Penny was so cute in the museum. She was signing up a storm, words that I didn't know that she had picked up...words/ signs...airplane, train, apple were just a few. All the Wardlings were a delight to watch, but Penny was so animated and so thrilled to be in the museum. It was funny to watch her run around...We'll have to go back soon!

P.S. When Penny was running around the super market, she reminded Clyde and I of an old grocery shopping game show called "Supermarket Sweep." In the show the contestant pairs, would guess on the price of something or a brand name, and then run into the market to fetch it, winning time points, which they would use in the end for a run through the supermarket. The grand finale was 1 teammate, would run into the market, filling up as many carts of groceries as possible in the time that they won. Whoever had the most in groceries, won their total and a chance to figure out a clue to win the $5,000 hidden behind 1 mystery product in the store. They were given clues, like figuring out juicy juice, getting a clue, to mac-n-cheese and then, the final clue that would lead them to kraft singles cheese and $5000. The catch being that they only had like a minute to figure out these clues, get to the mystery product and have the cash in their hands, before the time ran out. If they didn't win the $5000, then they won $ per product/ clue that they did figure out. Anyway, Penny was running through the Children's Museum supermarket throwing things into her shopping cart...like the entire bin of bananas, and all the crackers...etc. She was so cute!
