powdery snow

Church was canceled today due to the inclement weather.  The Wardlings were all anxious to get outside and play in the snow.  We consented.  They bundled up and spent all of 30-40 minutes playing in the powdery mix of snow that was on the ground.  The snow was too dry for snowballs or a snowman for that matter.  We tried to sled, but couldn't because of the texture of the snow.  Maybe tomorrow, since there is no school, we can attempt sledding down our driveway.  Otherwise, today was just a nice, peaceful, lazy day.  I love days like this!!
