recliner

Last Friday Clyde had the day off. He took it off to go w/ me to Duke Medical Center for a Dr. appointment for Erin. The Geneticist wanted to postpone, so that we could see 4 Dr.s in one day. So, since Clyde had the day off, we ran around doing our Saturday errands, w/o everybody w/ us. One of our pit stops was Costco. I wanted to go down the aisle with all the dishes and then I wanted to take a peek @ the furniture. We walked down and found 2 really nice recliners. One of them was way on sale. We needed a new recliner. We'd had our navy one for the past 7 years and it was well worn and falling apart. So, we decided on one of them. Clyde dropped me and the children off @ home, got Erin from her, After school thing and went to Costco. There he got the flatbed cart and got help with the recliner. There was some question about the price. At first it was $75 more expensive than the sale price. There was also a manufacturer's discount of $75 and that hadn't been taken off. So, once Clyde and the associate figured all of it out, the chair turned out to be $75 cheaper, than the $150 worth of discounts! This is a way nice comfy chair. What a blessing for our family!
Now about our old recliner...once we bought the new recliner, we put the old one on the curb. Within 20 minutes it had been picked up. We felt better for tossing it, especially if someone else could use it. The next morning, it had been returned to the curb. Yeah, I am sure that whomever grabbed thought that they were getting a cool chair. On closer inspection they realized that it wasn't and returned it... It was definitely time for a new chair!!
