honor roll breakfast & 8th grade graduation

Oh what a whirlwind of a day! It began with an Honor Roll Breakfast to celebrate Josh getting straight A's! I was able to sweet talk our principal in letting Josh be awarded first so that I could race to Erin's middle school for her 8th grade graduation ceremony.

It is hard to believe that I went to the 8th grade at the same school that is Clyde now an established teacher and our girls attend. Clyde did a good job with his speaking part in the ceremony. Then again he is really good at that.

Pop Pop was able to attend the ceremony as well. Libby got out of watching "The Karate Kid" to come support her sister. Sa-weet!

Erin not only got her 8th grade graduation certificate, but an art award and a language arts award. We are very proud of Erin's achievements.

Libby also got straight A's. However, in order to get her report card, we did have to pay $4 for a 'misplaced' library book. Thank goodness it was $4 and not $40. The older wardlings are officially in summer bum mode. It begins for the other wardlings tomorrow.

Our day has ended with a lightening'd out pool fun, a PTA nomination for secretary (I'll have to share my rant about this later), and Weblos. Whew...and that was just my day. Clyde had to organize report cards, give speeches, pack up his room to move again, and he even made us a celebration lasagna dinner.  Jacob was pooped after the pool. He put himself to bed around 5pm and will hopefully sleep through til morning. Wouldn't it be great to get a peaceful 13 hours of sleep one night?
