The first pit stop of the day, after the crappy night's sleep, was to Hershey Pennsylvania. We went to Chocolate World. That was a fun stop. The air smelled like chocolate...every girls dream come true. We took their tour, saw their awesome sales floor, and Penny over came some of her fears, by hugging every costumed person there. She even liked the singing cows. We asked her if she was ready to hug the Chick-fil-a cow and we got a firm NO!Which BTW, the treats straight from the factory have no comparison to the treats in the store...twizzlers for example. THey have a way stronger flavor and are way softer than the twizzlers that have been shipped. The bag of twizzlers didn't make it out of the hotel that night from the wardlings gobbling them down as quickly as they could.
After our Hershey tour, we grabbed a quick bite to eat and headed back to D.C. It was most glorious to see the Temple on 495 as we drove back into town.
That's when we got the phone call that we had a new cousin! Congrats to Maylee and Jared and their new baby girl Zayda!
We then stopped @ the temple to walk around a bit...
Since our hotel room wasn't quite ready, we made a special trip for our Clyde to see the University of Maryland. He is a big Terps basketball fan, and we just had to see the campus and in the least buy him a t-shirt.
We remembered once we saw this statue that Jim Henson went to the University of Maryland. Cool!
After all we saw and did, the Wardlings were most impressed with their pool time each night.
